starts with a good plan.

Seven things to work through.

  1. Start with the gathering

Choose the occasion, preferred date, location and guest count. Think about whether people will be seated, standing or moving between indoor and outdoor spaces.

  2. Measure more than the footprint

The marquee is 6m × 9m, but the site also needs suitable space for anchoring, safe access and the way your event will operate. Ask us to review photographs and the layout.

  3. Make access part of the brief

Photograph gates, driveways, narrow routes and any steps. Tell us about vehicle restrictions, parking, soft ground and venue delivery windows.

  4. Plan the food service

Choose a menu direction and meal time. Include the number of guests with dietary needs and discuss cooking space, power, water and any venue rules.

  5. Choose the hire extras

Furniture, flooring and lighting affect both cost and layout. Add them to the estimate, then check how everything fits with the team.

  6. Agree facilities and weather plans

Check guest toilets, accessibility and venue facilities. Discuss site conditions, weather limits and any contingency arrangements rather than assuming they are included.

  7. Finalise and book

Review the written quote: menu, quantities, layout, timings, delivery charges, inclusions and payment arrangements. An online estimate does not reserve a date.

Your enquiry checklist.

Date. Postcode. Guest count. Seated or standing layout. Menu choice. Dietary needs. Site photographs. Venue access times. Furniture and lighting. Any special requirements.

Include these in the enquiry after your estimate. We will work through the details before finalising your quote.
