CANVAS & COAL · FAQ

A few good
questions.

The practical answers before you plan your gathering.

Food, cover and booking.

Can I book BBQ catering without a marquee?

Yes. Select “No catering” only if you want marquee hire without food; for catering-only, choose your BBQ menu and leave the marquee unticked. The team confirms availability and final arrangements.

What is the catered and covered package?

Choose up to 60 guests from £1,990 with a 20′ × 30′ marquee, or up to 120 from £3,490 with a 30′ × 45′ marquee. Both starting packages include BBQ catering, tables, chairs, matting and lighting. Menu upgrades and optional extras are additional; layout, availability and final charges are confirmed in your quote.

How does the estimate work?

The estimator multiplies your menu price by guest count, adds selected item quantities and applies the configured classic BBQ and marquee package cap where eligible. The saved enquiry retains your itemised selections and estimate.

Why is my final quote different from the estimate?

Menu changes, guest numbers, delivery, the site setup or added services can change the price. We show the final total and explain adjustments in your quote.

Can you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?

Tell us about each requirement and the number of guests affected when enquiring. We will discuss what can be provided and confirm menu suitability. Do not assume all dishes are suitable for every allergy.

Does one marquee cover every guest layout?

The 20′ × 30′ option is advertised for up to 60 seated and the 30′ × 45′ for up to 120 seated. We agree the table layout, circulation, catering areas and any dance space before booking.

Are tables, chairs and flooring included?

Tables, chairs, matting and lighting are included in both catered & covered packages. For marquee-only hire, select the items you need as separate extras.

Which areas do you cover?

We accept enquiries for Herefordshire, Dorset and Oxfordshire. Share the exact event address and date so we can check availability, delivery and site requirements.

Is my date reserved when I submit an estimate?

No. The enquiry asks us to review your date and requirements. Booking is confirmed only after the agreed quotation and booking arrangements.

Is VAT or delivery included in the estimate?

Read the current pricing note displayed in the estimator. The final written quote must confirm the applicable VAT treatment, delivery costs and any other agreed charges.

When should I enquire?

Once your date and location are known. Popular dates and venue access windows can affect availability, so contact us before committing to a complete event plan.

How do I get the final quote?

Submit your date, location and contact details after the estimate. Our team reviews the enquiry and emails your final quote. You can also call 07780 328723 or email info@canvascoal.co.uk.
